Remuneration Analyst

Go and find out what the market really pays

As a Remuneration Analyst you conduct a field-based salary study and market analysis in one country, to obtain better insight into common market practices there. It is the role the whole archive is built on.

What the assignment looks like

  • Build the panel

Identify the employers whose pay practice is genuinely comparable, and persuade them to take part.

  • Run the interviews

Collect salaries, allowances and benefits position by position, to a tested methodology you are trained in.

  • Go to the market

Price a household basket, talk to people, and understand what a wage has to cover in this particular place.

  • Write the study

Turn it into a report that HR and operations can act on — and that goes back to every organisation that contributed.

Who it suits

Curious, numerate, and comfortable asking strangers hard questions

The analytical half of this job is learnable and we train for it. The half that is harder to teach is the willingness to go out, knock on doors, sit with an HR manager who has no reason to help you, and keep asking until the picture is accurate.
